Cool additions to the site

We’ve made some fun changes here at juliejames.com that I think you all are really going to like.  Most notably, I’ve added a page for the FBI/US Attorney series that provides a tongue-in-cheek overview of the series, and talks about the inspiration behind the books. I’ve also created profiles for the three heroes in the series that you don’t want to miss.  (Trust me–it’s worth checking out.)

In addition, I’ve also added an international editions page that includes publisher links, titles, and covers (where available) of the various foreign translations of my books.  If you get a chance, click through the lineup of international covers for each book. There are some fun, great covers in there–and a couple rather, um, interesting ones, too.

Like the changes? Is there something else you’d like to see?  I’d love to hear your feedback!

I imagined my Jack Pallas to be scruffier, not so smooth faced…any way we can find a scruffier, non-shaved version of Jack for the picture?? hee hee

Other than that..I LOVE the new changes!!

Since I love the series — very smart, funny, sometimes acerbic, my favorite part! — it’s great to see an image of the guys. Very hot! Love the page and info. Thanks!

I like the changes. The heroes pictures and profile page is great. I especially enjoyed “not his finest moment” under each profile. That was quite funny.

I have one suggestion. Eventually, it might be helpful to have a FAQ page. I’m sure there are questions you get over and over again such as: What are you working on now? Will [insert name] ever have his/her own book? Where do you get your ideas from? These questions and more could be answered under the topic, “FAQ.”

Great idea, those pages are awesome! I especially love the hero-details (the weapons of choice are hilarious! ^^) and the fact that you chose pictures with only half of their faces to leave room for individual imagination.

Interesting international covers! But I still think the originals look best. 😉

I like the changes. The page about the series is very nicely done. The profiles are hysterical. I love that your books and stuff do not show a whole face for anyone. I like my imagination to do that part.

I agree with Kim above about a FAQ page being a good idea. I love those kinds of behind the scenes details – you could tell us the most interesting thing you learned in the wine appreciation class. Too bad no one has hot cocoa/marshmallow appreciation classes!! I could really get into that.

I was really glad to see the part about how this is a series, but all the books stand alone. That will be really nice for people to know, since they can just read the latest book if they want and go back later and not really miss anything. And huge thanks for writing them that way. I have read them all but with these I don’t feel as if I need to reread them all before I read the latest one.

I love how funny your books are. You and Jill Shalvis are at the top of my list for funny romances.

Love the new site and the tongue-in-cheek “Law and Order” references. Counting the days until April 3rd — Keep up the great work.

I’m a little confused. Is your FBI/US Attorney series inclusive of ALLL, SAY and ATN and that’s it, or will the series be extended to include more books? If the latter is the case, will Nick and Jack and their significant others return as recurring characters, or will this be about Cameron and those who report to her and their interactions with other FBI agents, outside of Jack (who I’m assuming will appear because of his relationship with Cameron)?

  8. Julie says:

    Hi Jeanne,

The series currently includes SAY, ALLL, and ATN. As you can see from the page, the book after ATN (which I’m writing now) will also be page of the series.

Each book will be about a new hero and heroine. Characters from previous books will make appearances in later books if that would be a natural part of the storyline. ABOUT THAT NIGHT, for example, has several recurring characters. Each book, however, will be able to be read as a standalone.

Hope that helps explain things! Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.
