Revised cover blurb–THE THING ABOUT LOVE

We’ve made a few tweaks to the cover blurb for THE THING ABOUT LOVE. I wrote the original blurb before the book was finished, but now that it’s done, I felt that this blurb captured the tone better.  Book release date is April 18.  Available for pre-order at:

Amazon
Barnes & Noble
iBooks
Kobo

The New York Times bestselling author of Suddenly One Summer blows the covers of two FBI agents who can’t hide who they are from each other . . .

FBI agents Jessica Harlow and John Shepherd have a past. The former lawyer and cocky Army Ranger clashed during their training at Quantico and gladly went their separate ways after graduating from the Academy. Six years later, the last thing either of them expects is to be assigned to work as partners in a high-profile undercover sting.

For both of them, being paired with a former rival couldn’t come at a worse time. Recently divorced from a Hollywood producer and looking for a fresh start, Jessica is eager to prove herself at her new field office. And John is just one case away from his dream assignment to the FBI’s elite Hostage Rescue Team. In order to nail a corrupt Florida politician, they’ll have to find a way to work together—a task that becomes even trickier when they’re forced to hole up at a romantic beachfront resort as part of the investigation. Suddenly, the heat behind their nonstop sparring threatens to make the job a lot more complicated. . .

I love your books, I am working on going thru your FBI series once again and these books I can’t tell you how much I have enjoyed them. I spend over two hours on the road each day and listening to your books makes the journey much more pleasant. I have a question about Brook Parkers friend in the book #4. Will you be doing a book about her best friend.

Again that you so much and look forward to hearing from you if you have time.

    Hi Julie,
Always excited each year by your new book coming out, and I LOVE the cover, beautiful!
Just a question, it seems it’s only on sale in Kindle and hard copy??! No paperback any more?
    Sad here…

      Hi Corinne,

Glad you’re looking forward to the new release! It’s available in trade paperback, ebook, and audiobook. No hardcover.

Just read “The Thing About Love.” The cover and blurb enticed me into picking it up to read. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Always love finding new authors, especially those who can write a good story that sucks you right in. Put that together with characters you really like, witty dialogue and a believable storyline and I’m hooked. Also loved the fact that I didn’t see any of those editing mistakes that make you want to stop reading and write the author to ask if they had someone actually read the book before it was released. Drives me nuts and totally distracts me from the story. Great job! Looking forward to my next Julie James book! Any suggestions on which one I should read next? I am known to read every book I can get my hands on once I find an author I enjoy. I have also been known to write authors to ask them when their next book is due (once I’ve read all their published books). I have always been an avid reader-not much of a tv fan. If only I could find a job reading books for a living I’d be in Heaven!

      Hi Pam,

Glad you enjoyed TTAL! In terms of what book to read next, I’d recommend SOMETHING ABOUT YOU. It’s the first of the FBI/US Attorney-themed books, and the hero, Special Agent Jack Pallas, seems to be a reader favorite. 😉
