Book 5 title

In case you hadn’t heard, we have a title for Book 5… ABOUT THAT NIGHT.

Love it!  Okay, I should love it, because I’m the one who picked it.  That makes two titles back-to-back that Berkley has kept–I’m on a roll.

The book will be out next April.  But don’t despair, I’ll likely have a cover and an excerpt that I can post this summer. I’m not saying much about ABOUT THAT NIGHT yet, except that it’s Kyle’s book (Jordan’s brother from A Lot Like Love), and that the heroine is a woman from his past.

Coming up for air–what should I read?

Whew!  Last Friday, I heard back from my editor re: Book 4, A Lot Like Love, which she is very pleased with.  (Yay!)  She had a couple of minor notes, which I worked on these past couple of days.  I’m happy to say that earlier this afternoon, I emailed the revised manuscript off to her.  (Another yay!)  In theory, I’m done until it’s time for copy edits.  I hope.

Which means that it’s time for me to move on to. . . Book 5!  I’m really excited to get going on the new book–the hero in Book 5 is introduced in A Lot Like Love, and I think his story is going to be a lot of fun to write.  And now that I’m done with A Lot Like Love I finally have time to read again!!

I just finished up my book club book, Girl in Translation by Jean Kwok, which I really enjoyed.  So I’m trying to decide what to read next. . . and thought you guys might be able to help me out.  I pulled a few books from my TBR shelf that caught my eye:

Any recommendations?  I think I might be leaning toward Slow Heat by Jill Shalvis–since it centers around a baseball team that seems like a good one to read before the summer is over.  But I’d love to hear what you guys think!

New Thai covers! (And other fun stuff)

I’ve got a few fun pictures to share this week. . .

First, the Thai translations of Just the Sexiest Man Alive and Practice Makes Perfect are now available.  Check out the covers for the Thai versions of the books:

First, Practice Makes Perfect:

And here’s Just the Sexiest Man Alive (apologies that it’s so small):

I’m working on getting a larger jpeg for the JTSMA cover.  How fun is that picture of Jason and Taylor?  I love that Jason is reading a book–or maybe that’s supposed to be a script?  It’s so interesting to see how books are marketed in different countries.  Anyone interested in purchasing the Thai translations of the books, which are available now, can do that here and here.

Speaking of Practice Makes Perfect. . . a friend gave me this note she found in a fortune cookie:

She framed it for me, too–how sweet is that? I’ve now got it on my desk.

Lastly, I thought I’d share a special advance sneak preview of Book 5.  Yes, Book 5.  I know, you haven’t even seen Book 4 yet (A Lot Like Love), but I started working on my outline for Book 5 last Friday and I thought I’d share what I’ve got so far.  Now, Friday was a busy day for me, lunch downtown with girlfriends, a going away party for other friends, and I didn’t sleep well the night before.  So I may have dozed off while writing the outline for Book 5… and when I woke up, this was what I had on the legal pad sitting next to me:

So there you have it–Book 5 will have an “opening.”  You heard it here first, folks.  : )

Okay, time to really get cracking on that outline. . .
