Still sick. Darn cold turned out to be a darn sinus infection. But at last… antibiotics. Fingers crossed they kick in fast. In addition to being under the weather, I’m aiming to send off the manuscript for Book 3 tomorrow, which means are things are bu-sy. So I decided to have a little fun with this week’s post…
Okay, now I admit that I’m a little biased these days. The hero in my third book has dark hair and dark eyes and a smokin’ hot body and I think he might be the best, sexiest hero I’ve written. I am just all about guys with those physical characteristics right now. And I’m watching “Dancing with the Stars,” and Gilles Marini paso dobles onto the screen, and I’m just… smitten. (In case you don’t know him, he was Samantha’s naked neighbor in Sex in the City.) I swear, it’s like this guy just fell out of the sky and became the sexiest man alive. Don’t believe me? Julie, we must be channeling each other! I was just telling one of my CPs about how she needed to turn on the TV to watch Gilles Marini. (She declined.) And then I went on and on about how Gilles was perfect for the book to be written after this one. Gilles is just sexy.
That’s horrible you’re sick. Sinus infections are horrible. But at least you get to send out book 3 tomorrow and can hopefully take some time to get better.

I LOVED Gilles in Sex and the City (the movie – he was Samantha’s naughty neighbor, Dante). And, definite plus, he was naked (or half naked) almost the whole movie. Yummy!
Let’s see, lesser known Sexiest Men? I have to immediately go to Taylor Kitsch from Friday Night Lights. He plays bad boy Tim Riggins and is just delish. Granted, he’s probably better known by the high school set, but he’s hot, and 27, so not illegal to oogle.
I’m not a fan of DWTS, but I was definitely a fan of Gilles from SATS – just delicious.
Hmmm, tough question. Jensen Ackles from “Supernatural” really does it for me, though I usually prefer less pretty and more brawny. I’ll have to think more on this. Much more.

The minute I started reading your blog, all I could think about was how this is going to make Elyssa Papa’s day. And sure enough, there’s her comment above. I have the feeling, he’s going to be cast in many hero roles in the near future. Perhaps he’ll have a second career as a cover model.

Then, of course, he looks over my shoulder right as I’m posting the third picture (the one of Gilles in bed) and THEN he suddenly starts getting fussy, so I told him I gave him fair warning, he didn’t protest, so he’d lost his right to challenge the post. There was some minor huffing about after that, and a few mumblings about how he was going to start his own blog… we’ll see if that actually happens. 😉

I don’t watch DWTS so SITC(the movie) was the first time I saw this man (I agree that he is eminently seeable), and he reminded me a little of Olivier Martinez, with whom Diane Lane had an affair in ‘Unfaithful’. I’d like to know what became of Olivier Martinez – can it really be that attractive Italian/French men find it hard to get roles?

Maya: Olivier Martinez is an excellent choice– so sexy in Unfaithful– but he really has dropped off the face of the earth. I looked him up on IMDB and he doesn’t have that much coming up, either. Wonder what’s up with that? Shouldn’t the accent help them?? Certainly works for me. 🙂
